Harlem’s construction is not prioritized. Living in the Bronx practically my whole life, I’ve gotten more than used to noisy construction. No matter what, there’s always been something the city wanted to changed about where I lived no matter how many times I moved. From apartments to the house I live in now to the very moment I am typing, construction noise has invaded my space.
Harlem’s’ residents can relate. What’s more bizarre is that construction in Harlem, Bronx, and Brooklyn where I went to school for 4 years, seems to get done at an extremely slower rate in comparison to richer neighborhoods in Manhattan. It has led me to conclude that the lower income resident areas do not get prioritized to have finished construction based on their class.
Manhattan’s progress always seem to race and win ahead while poorer boroughs and areas always fall behind.
